My given name is Edwin Angelo. Yet, for as long as I can remember, family and friends have called me Gino. Edwin is a name I share with my dad, and Gino is a name I share with some singer with whom my mom was obsessed back in the day.

 

Cue identity crisis.

 

I am a product of the Philippines, the Middle East, and New Jersey. These days, New York City is the place I call home. By day, I'm an event marketer turned NYU career coach. My weekends are usually a mix of twerking, brunching, and writing papers for grad school.
